Finnish meeting venue tech provider MeetingPackage has raised €1.5 million to fuel international growth.
The round, which closed in late 2018, was led by existing investors and well as new investors including Falkensteiner Ventures.
MeetingPackage aims to bring the booking of meeting rooms online, helping venues and distribution partners increase revenue and decrease costs in meetings and events sales.
Its new products include a booking engine for hotels and meeting venues to replace contact and offline inquiry forms, as well as a global distribution system and channel manager to help venues reach new customers and save time.
“Even though the customers were requesting the possibility of booking meeting rooms online, the hotels and event venues weren’t ready for that yet. We understood that we need to help the hotels more in the core of their own operations,” says Joonas Ahola founder and CEO of MeetingPackage.
“We help the hotels and event venues to sell meeting rooms online from their own channels as well as offering more control and ease of access to global distribution and broader customer base. This was a needed step to reach our mission statement.”
Established in 2014, MeetingPackage says its platform is used by thousands of hotel customers and more than 500 distribution partners, and it’s available in 12 different languages.
The company recently partnered with IDeaS Revenue Solutions to begin optimizing the price of event spaces.
