CITS American Express Global Business Travel, Carlson Wagonlit Travel China and BCD Travel: exclusive partners – Seminars for business travel managers and everyone in business travel.

Business trips are an important economic factor in the travel industry. On 17 May 2018 the ITB China Conference will offer everyone working in the business travel market an ideal platform for training and networking at the Business Travel Day. Practical workshops with up-to-date information on methods and strategies will provide both career newcomers and corporate travel managers with first-hand knowledge and updates. This year’s exclusive partners are CITS American Express Global Business Travel, Carlson Wagonlit Travel China and BCD Travel. Admission to the Business Travel Day is free for visitors of ITB China. Clients from all ITB China business travel day partners will be sending their corporate travel managers to attend this event and senior representatives will have up-to-the-minute panel discussions, presenting current topics and profound knowledge in the areas of Business and Corporate Travel.

Kevin Tan, VP & General Manager of CITS American Express Global Business Travel said: “2017 China Business Travel Survey (the Barometer) has revealed that 31 percent of Chinese companies expect travel budgets to rise over the next twelve months, and a strong indication of the opportunities Chinese organizations are recognizing both domestically but also in the global economy. More and more Chinese organizations highlighted the importance of business travel as a key driver of revenue for them and also reported having systems in place to measure the return on investment (ROI) of business travel. Companies that balance organizational goals with traveler experience concerns are the most likely to see a significant financial benefit. However how to balance new technologies with operational realities is enabling companies to reconsider their approaches to business travel and will be discussed at ITB China!”

“China is an enormous market for corporate travel and there is still great potential for growth, said Jonathan Kao, Managing Director-Greater China at BCD Travel,“We are pleased to work with ITB China to host the Business Travel Day and forge a communication platform for our corporate clients and the industry to focus on topics with the highest priority. The high-profile and experienced speakers at ITB China will provide us with efficient communication on topics ranging from basic logic and user demands to the latest industry trends, and shed light on specific solutions. We look forward to the second edition of ITB China!”

KJ WU, Deputy General Maanger, Carlson Wagonlit Travel China, said “Corporate travel management has transitioned from a sole focus on cost control to a multidimensional consideration on offerings, technologies and efficiency”, and questions, how travel management companies and their clients will find a balance between convenience and regulation, mobility and security, multiple payment methods and data integration, considering that the  ways and channels for travel booking have become so diverse. “This is not just about leveraging new technologies, but also about cultivating an innovative management mindset under the digital economy. We look forward to having extensive conversations with our peers on the Business Travel Day of ITB China 2018!”, according to WU.
