Shenzhen-based family tour startup Tongyou.la announced on September 13 that it has raised millions of yuan in its Pre-A round. Guangzhou-based investment company Cher Ami Wealth & Financial was the lead investor in the round.
Tongyou.la was set up in 2014. The company received millions of dollars in an angel round from Shenzhen HTI in May 2015.
Also operating in the segment of tours for families with kids are Maitao.com in Shanghai, Tongzijun.com.cn in Beijing and Bbztx.com in Hangzhou. Tongyou.la tried to venture out of its strongholds in Guangzhou and Shenzhen to other southern cities such as Zhuhai and Xiamen, without much success. （Translated by Jerry）
