Jin Jiang International again raised its shareholding of AccorHotels to 6.03% and became the largest shareholder of the French hotel group.

A statement issued by the French finance authority AMF on February 1 stated that Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels (Group) Company Limited (Jin Jiang International) has raised its stake of AccorHotels to 6.03% through Rubyrock Captial Company Limited, a Jin Jiang International subsidiary, thus acquiring voting rights of 5.27% and becoming AccorHotels’ largest shareholder. The statement was reported in the French Les Échos on February 3, and subsequently quoted by the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in France on February 4.

Reuters reported on January 25 citing an AMF document that Jin Jiang International had increased its shareholding of AccorHotels to 5.5% and had become the second largest shareholder of the French hotel group, also through Rubyrock Captial Company Limited. (Translation by Jerry)
