Triton Distribution Systems, Inc., a web-based travel distribution service provider, has launched ReservationExpert. (1/18/2007)
The company says for the first time travel agents will have a powerful reservation system that employs a graphical user interface (GUI) to grant direct inventory access without the barriers of legacy systems.
ReservationExpert is a web-based booking application that integrates all the travel information agents need to their desktop. No short fall penalties and no long training sessions.
It added that travel agents can now use a universal interface to access a multitude of airlines, hotels, cruises, tours, GDS and other inventory databases through one single interface without the need for typing any commands. This point-and-click system will perform all transactions in the background and will offer a multitude of choices including the ability to book, calculate, issue tickets, create PNRs, and confirm reservations.
“For decades, the industry has been promising a product that allows agents to easily reserve and book travel with a graphical user interface,” said Gregory Lykiardopoulos, chairman and chief executive officer, Triton. ReservationExpert delivers on that promise and meets the needs of travel agents who require an easy-to-use and cost-effective solution.
With ReservationExpert, agencies will have access to: Airlines (580 air carriers through Triton’s direct connection to the airlines or through its GDS partners and consolidators); Cars (Real-time access to all major car rental companies); Hotels (Access to over 4,500 hotels worldwide without switching systems or creating a new PNR training and support).
ReservationExpert is available immediately. Translation in Chinese will be available in the first quarter of 2007. The product will be available in other languages by the end of the year.
