European hotels portal HRS has announced record mobile turnover in 2012 as it revealed its Hotels Now app has been the most successful launch of its type to date.
The firm expects to see mobile take a 20% share of its business by 2014, underlining the rapid rise of the channel, particularly in last minute hotel bookings, last year.
HRS said the rise in prominence of smartphone technology “has the potential to fundamentally change the travel industry, which is why HRS is further extending its mobile offer and is developing ever more innovative solutions”.
