Recent figures from IMRG demonstrated that the online travel industry has had a flying start to 2011, with a 31% rise in consumer spend compared to the beginning of 2010.
What’s more, the average basket value of holidays booked in the UK, for example, was found to be £886, the highest figure ever recorded.
Travel businesses will be keen to make the most of this rise in online spend, but will only be best placed to do so if they can offer a fully optimised web experience for their customers.
