Xiaoru Dai, long responsible for the company’s international technology operations, steps into the CTO role.

Trip.com Group has announced a major leadership change in its technology division. Former CTO Chao Ma departed this week, with the position now assumed by Xiaoru Dai, who has long overseen the company’s international technology operations. Dai will take full charge of Trip.com Group’s overall technology strategy. The move has drawn significant industry attention and is widely seen as a key step in Trip.com’s efforts to accelerate its technology restructuring, advance AI adoption, and strengthen its global expansion strategy.

Chao Ma joined Trip.com in 2014 and has served as Vice President and Chairman of the Technology Committee, widely regarded internally as the “No.1” figure in the company’s tech hierarchy. His successor, Xiaoru Dai, previously led the technology function of Trip.com’s international business and brings extensive experience in global system architecture and cross-border technology operations. The appointment, shifting leadership “from outside to inside,” signals a potential push to enhance integration between domestic and international technology frameworks, boosting global operational efficiency.

The successor to the now-vacant International CTO position has not yet been announced. Industry observers note that this decision will directly influence Trip.com’s technology roadmap and execution pace in overseas markets.
