Trip.com Group’s corporate travel unit, Trip.Biz, has recently acquired European travel management company Key Travel.
Key Travel positions itself as the world’s largest travel management company specializing in humanitarian, religious, and academic travel. Headquartered in the UK and established over 40 years ago, it provides 24/7 global travel support to non-profit organizations and operates in nine countries across Europe, North America, and Africa.
According to the 2025 European TMC rankings published by international business travel media BTN, Key Travel ranked 30th in Europe with annual sales of EUR 187 million.
At the 2025 TravelDaily Conference, Trip.Biz CEO Tao Song mentioned that the company has continued global expansion through both organic growth and acquisitions. Earlier this month, it acquired a European TMC, increasing its coverage to eight overseas markets—six in Europe, one in North America, and one in Africa. Currently, Trip.Biz operates in more than 20 markets worldwide.
Beyond Europe, Mr. Song also revealed that Trip.Biz has acquired companies in Japan, Vietnam, and other regions in recent years, and has partnered with local firms through joint ventures.
In its Q2 2025 earnings report, Trip.com Group reported business travel revenue of RMB 692 million (approximately USD 97 million), up 9% year-on-year and 21% quarter-on-quarter. Growth followed seasonal trends and was boosted by wider corporate adoption of travel management solutions.
Despite this progress, business travel continues to account for only 5% of Trip.com Group’s total revenue across its four major segments, highlighting considerable room for further growth.
