On May 28, Marriott Bonvoy announced a joint membership program with Meituan, combining their strengths in accommodation, dining, and lifestyle services to create a comprehensive experience extending from hotel stays to everyday life.
From now until May 27, 2026, Meituan and Dianping members can match their current status to a corresponding Marriott Bonvoy membership tier. Eligible members can also participate in a status challenge to unlock limited-time elite benefits, including an exclusive "Eat, Play, Stay" hospitality voucher package worth up to RMB 388(about USD 54).
Today’s travelers expect more than just a place to stay—they seek an integrated “Stay+”experience that includes food, fun, and leisure. This model is now a key trend in hospitality.
According to Meituan Travel, high-end hotel dining on its platform grew by 30% in the first two months of 2025, significantly outpacing last year’s growth rate.
In March 2025 alone, Marriott Bonvoy hotels in cities like Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, and Wenzhou recorded year-over-year dining revenue growth on Meituan that exceeded the national average for hotel restaurants.
Marriott Bonvoy has long prioritized delivering exceptional dining experiences, offering a mix of global and local cuisines. In early 2025, six Marriott hotel restaurants were honored in the 2025 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide for excellence in cuisine and service.
In 2024, Meituan recorded over 770 million annual transacting users, supported by a comprehensive ecosystem spanning dining, entertainment, and retail. Marriott Bonvoy, with over 600 hotels and more than 1,400 restaurants and bars across Greater China, continues to deliver premium experiences across cuisine, sports, entertainment, and lifestyle, aligning with guests’ passions and preferences.
