Trip.com reveals latest ownership shake-up: Baidu cuts stake, James Liang increases

The report shows that Baidu remains the largest shareholder of China’s top online travel group, though its stake has decreased from 9.4% last year to 7.0%.

Meanwhile, BlackRock, the U.S. asset management giant, has newly appeared on the list of major shareholders with a significant 5.3% stake.

As of February 28, 2025, board members or senior executives holding more than 1% of Trip.com Group shares include:

* James Liang (5.3%)
* Jane Sun (2.1%)
* All board members and executives collectively hold 8.5% of Trip.com Group shares.

As of December 31, 2024, Trip.com Group employed approximately 41,000 people globally.

The group operates nine customer service centers worldwide, located in Shanghai, Nantong, Guangzhou, Manila, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Seoul, and Edinburgh.
