The pandemic forced companies to switch to virtual meetings, reducing the need for business travel. Video calls became a standard, providing an alternative to face-to-face meetings. 

Many businesses realized that pre-pandemic travel was not financially sensible with the advent of tools like Zoom. This led to significant financial losses in the business travel industry, particularly for US budget airlines.

But experts predict a resurgence in business travel with a focus shift from client meetings to internal company meetings.
