New Hyatt Regency Hong Kong to open 2009 in Kowloon

Wednesday, 5 December 2007:Global Hyatt Corporation and New World Development Company have reached an agreement over the management of a new Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, which is set to open in Kowloon’s Tsim Sha Tsui area in 2009.

Wednesday, 5 December 2007:Global Hyatt Corporation and New World Development Company have reached an agreement over the management of a new Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, which is set to open in Kowloon’s Tsim Sha Tsui area in 2009.

The 384-room Hyatt Regency will be located in one of Kowloon’s highest skyscrapers between floors 3 and 24, a mixed use building along Hanoi Road.

It will feature a ballroom, meeting rooms, swimming pool, gym and a Sky Garden as well as views of Hong Kong Island, Victoria Harbour and Kowloon Peninsula. 

The building will also have its own shopping mall, restaurants, cafes and bars along with convenient access to the MTR station in Tsim Sha Tsui.

“This project will strengthen New World Development’s hotel presence in Hong Kong and give the region a new and distinctive luxury hotel,” said Dr Cheng Kar-Shun, New World Hyatt Regency Returns to Hong Kong Development Company’s Managing Director.

The previous Hyatt Regency in Hong Kong was established in 1969 before it closed in 2006.
