Oneworld Alliance seeking to bring China Southern into its ranks

>> Oneworld, the global airline alliance led by American Airlines Group Inc. and British Airways, is in discussions about bringing China Southern Airlines Co. into its ranks, according to people familiar with the matter.

China Southern is the nation’s largest airline with dual hubs in the capital Beijing and the southern city of Guangzhou, where it is headquartered. Bringing it into the oneworld Alliance could provide other member airlines with valuable access to what prior to Covid was one of the world’s fastest growing aviation markets, the people said, asking not to be identified because the details are private.

Shanghai Disneyland to reopen on Nov 25 as resort returns to full operations

>> Shanghai Disney Resort announced that Shanghai Disneyland will resume operations on November 25, 2022, operating from 8:30 to 20:30 on the reopening day. 

The re-opening of Shanghai Disneyland and Toy Story Hotel, together with the recent re-opening of Disneytown, Wishing Star Park and Shanghai Disneyland Hotel will mark Shanghai Disney Resort's return to full operations. 

Emirates sees unprecedented travel surge once China reopens

>> Emirates, the world’s largest long-haul airline, said it’s expecting a surge in global travel on a scale beyond anything seen for many years once China fully reopens to overseas flights.

While most aviation markets are already “rebounding at pace,” the dropping of Covid-related curbs in the world’s second-largest economy will trigger a “tsunami” of bookings, Emirates President Tim Clark said Wednesday.

Air Serbia launches exciting new flights to Tianjin and Chicago

Traffic to Trip.com during the two week promotion for the consumer shopping period around 11th November reached a new high as bookings with the global travel service provider hit a new record, with year-on-year growth surging by 84%.

Most of visitors travel to north of Laos using China-Laos Railway

>> As tourists return to Laos in large numbers, over 85% of those heading to northern Laos' Luang Prabang province are using the China-Laos Railway.

Lao News Agency on Tuesday quoted Deputy Head of the province's Information, Culture and Tourism Department Chansamone Thipphavanh as saying that in the first 10 months of this year, 335,794 tourists, accounting for 85.27% of the total, arrived in Luang Prabang by train, with the rest traveling by plane, bus or boat.
