American Airlines announced Tuesday that it is suspending flights to mainland China and Hong Kong until April amid the novel coronavirus outbreak that has infected more than 40,000 people worldwide.
The airline offers flights to Shanghai and Beijing in mainland China from its Dallas-Fort Worth and Los Angeles hubs. Those flights will be unavailable through April 24, according to a Tuesday statement.
American Airlines flights between the Texas hub and Hong Kong will be suspended through April 23. Flights between Los Angeles and Hong Kong will be suspended through April 24.
