Priceline.com hikes booking expectations

May 25, 2007: Priceline.com on Wednesday raised the upper end of its fiscal year travel bookings expectations by $50 million and reaffirmed its pro forma earnings forecast. The company now projects bookings of $4.1 billion to $4.25 billion, compared with a May 8 forecast of $4.1 billion to $4.2 billion.

The company now projects bookings of $4.1 billion to $4.25 billion, compared with a May 8 forecast of $4.1 billion to $4.2 billion.

Priceline.com also reiterated its fiscal year pro forma earnings outlook of $2.90 to $3.10 per share, an estimate roughly in line with the $3.06 per share expected by analysts, according to a poll by Thomson Financial.

Including certain items, Priceline.com said it expects to earn between $1.25 per share and $1.45 per share this year.

For the year, the company also issued a gross travel bookings forecast of $2.27 billion to $2.35 billion for its European operations and $1.83 billion to $1.90 billion for its domestic operations.
