Camp education firm Star Sida pockets multi million yuan in funding
In less than four years of operation, Star Sida has registered more than 30,000 campers and parents and expects to serve 20,000 campers in 2018 alone.
Scouting expedition education institution Star Sida announced that it has raised tens of millions of yuan in its series A round of financing, led by CIEVC and joined by BWVC.
Star Sida was founded in 2014 to offer winter and summer camps, weekend camps and parent-child camps, with boot camp programs, field survival training, natural education, study tours and other themed activities targeting youngsters.
It directly owns and operates all the products and has so far cooperated with many camp education brands in the United States, the United Kingdom and Russia.
In less than four years of operation, Star Sida has registered more than 30,000 campers and parents and expects to serve 20,000 campers in 2018 alone, according to founder Sheng Yu.
Prior to the current proceeds, Star Sida has landed two rounds of investment, namely a million-yuan angel round in July 2017 and a multi-million-yuan Pre-A round this January.
With the latest three capital injections, the company is currently valued at hundreds of millions of yuan.
