52CX, an AI provider of travel solutions, announced through its official WeChat account on September 29 that it has raised RMB 50 million in its angel round of financing. Hede Wanjia was the lead investor and Long Lv 365.com also joined in.
Established on April 1, 2017 and headquartered in Beijing, 52CX boasts of a core team formed of former employees of Sina, Qunar.com, LeEco, Tongcheng Tourism and 360. Its core business is to build artificial intelligence assistance systems for travelers.
52CX’s travel service system includes two features: the cloud intelligence for travelling "DIY Recommendation" and the sharing function "10-second Sharing". "DIY Recommendation" is designed to collect users’ habits and to make effective recommendations based on the feedback and analysis, so as to present personalized recommendations. "10-second Sharing" is to intelligently identify the photos and videos uploaded by the user, and then generate matching texts within 10 seconds.
52CX hopes to improve the travel market by solving language barriers, offering maps and guides overseas and providing rescue and other services.
