Regatta Travel Solutions has ended six years as an independent company and been bought by Austrian travel technology shop Seekda.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The deal will put two different offerings together into what the pair are calling a “powerful weapon” for hotels and other travel brands such as destination marketing organisations.
Since its inception in 2007, Seekda has worked on building a platform for properties using metasearch channels, in particular a “smart bidding” service for both chains and independent hoteliers.
