B2B ticket seller Piao Guanjia raises US$4.8 million in Pre-A financing
B2B ticket sales service Piao Guanjia announced it received RMB30 million of Pre-A round investment from three independent investors.
ChinaTravelNews – Shanghai T&P Group’s online B2B ticket sales service Piao Guanjia announced it received RMB30 million (approx: US$4.83 million) of Pre-A round investment from three independent investors.
The funds from this investment round will mainly be used to upgrade the integration of its information management system with the sales platform, as well as to recruit a marketing team for the mobile operations and develop a mobile OA management system for attractions based on big data and smart travel, according to Piao Guanjia’s director Rong Huang.
“I believe that Piao Guanjia will continue to increase the sales capacity of the platform leveraging on the advantages of big data, and share quality O2O products and mass distribution channels with partners,”he said.
Shanghai-based ecommerce company Piao Guanjia was established in May 2012 and is the first entirely platform-based online B2B travel business in China. Its distribution network currently covers almost 5,000 companies and has absolute dominance in China’s B2B online travel sector.
Piao Guanjia’s CEO Yuan Jiang said: “As an online B2B travel business, we mainly concentrate on setting up a quality platform with upstream and downstream channels to provide the travel industry more convenient and effective product transaction services. By the end of this year,
Piao Guanjia aims to encompass a range of B2B services, primarily in attraction ticketing, hotels, guesthouses, independent travel and travel insurance, with auxiliary services in cruises and visa service.”
“Travel insurance sales skyrocketed for Piao Guanjia this year since we formed a strategic partnership with China Continent Insurance and entered the travel insurance segment last August. We will continue to introduce travel insurance products to more businesses to diversify our offerings and individualize our product choices,” he said.
Piao Guanjia’s three main operations are its service platforms, consolidated sales and marketing service and smart ticket booth service.
Piao Guanjia has also been appointed by five attractions as marketing representative, among them are a 5A grade attraction, three theme parks and a children’s amusement park.
Piao Guanjia will continue to develop its online marketing management model for attractions this year and plans to form partnerships with over 20 attractions by 2016.(Translation by David)
