Price still major drawcard, but new tools now king in travel research

Thursday, 2 July 2009: A new report which looks into how travellers are researching and booking holidays online shows while users are still drawn to cheap deals other details like information, maps and images are becoming more crucial.

In its latest survey of what influences travel decisions, Frommer found that online research was the most important factor in planning where to go, with 78% of respondents picking this above recommendations from friends, books and newspapers.
