Breaking news, 10 Jan 2008: SINGAPORE – Marriott International will open four Courtyard hotels in Thailand over the next 6 months.
Two opening in Phuket and Hua Hin will make family travel more affordable, while the four openings will bring Marriott’s portfolio in the country to 11 operating hotels in 2008.
The four are 399-room Courtyard by Marriot Phuket at Patpong Beach, 256-room Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Surin Beach, 180-room Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Kamala Beach and 243-room Courtyard by Marriott Hua Hin at Cha Am Beach.
Said John Toomey, Marriott’s area marketing director for Hong Kong, Macau and Southeast Asia, “Thailand still has a lot of room for growth in new hotels, which is why we opened four hotels there.”
