Ryanair, today, as oil hit an unprecedented $100 a barrel, renewed its guarantee to passengers that it will never apply a fuel surcharge, not today, not ever. (1/4/2008)
"Only Ryanair guarantees no fuel surcharges ever," stated the low-fares airline.
Ryanair´s Head of Communications, Peter Sherrard said: "Europe´s high fare airlines are gouging passengers with fuel surcharges of €70 and €80, which has already resulted in the conviction of British Airways and Virgin Atlantic for price fixing. The travelling public recognises the crude scams of these fuel surcharging airlines which is why almost 60 million passengers this year will choose Ryanair, the only airline in Europe to guarantee the lowest fares and no fuel surcharges ever."
"To celebrate Ryanair´s no fuel surcharge ever guarantee, we are giving away 2 million seats for € / ?10, so passengers looking for the lowest fares guaranteed and no fuel surcharges in 2008 should log onto www.ryanair.com immediately".
