Hong Kong records over 2.27 million outbound trips during Easter holiday

More than 80% of Hong Kong's people headed north to the mainland.

Hong Kong residents made over 2.27 million outbound trips during the Easter holiday, and over 1.9 million people headed north to the mainland, according to preliminary data from the city’s Immigration Department.

The Zhuhai port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge saw over 19,000 inbound and outbound vehicles on Monday, marking a record high since its opening, official data showed on Tuesday.
