Haichang Ocean Park gains support from Saudi tourism fund to build theme park

China’s Haichang Ocean Park is to receive support from Saudi Arabia’s Tourism Development Fund (TDF) to build a marine-themed park in the kingdom. Haichang Ocean Park plans to develop theme parks, water parks, wildlife parks and family entertainment centers (FECs) in Saudi Arabia.

Puy du Fou partners with Alibaba Cloud

Puy du Fou and Alibaba Cloud signed a strategic cooperation MOU recently for long-term technical cooperation. To prepare for the opening SAGA City of Light, the French theme park operator's major project in Shanghai, cooperation has already been established to leverage Alibaba Cloud’s innovative and benchmarking technologies in Office Collaboration Platforms, E-commerce channel management, and Cloud infrastructure to establish an operation system that applies to Asia and specialized in operation of SAGA City of Light.

UnionPay International partners with Trip.com to provide global travelers with enhanced payment experiences

UnionPay International (UPI) recently partnered with Trip.com to provide UnionPay cardholders an enhanced payment experience in a partnership that coincides with the gradual recovery of the cross-border tourism market. The cooperation covers all major transaction currencies on Trip.com's global sites accepting UnionPay online payment, including Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and other key travel markets of Trip.com.

Shanghai Airlines goes all-Boeing with removal of last Airbus A330-300

Chinese regional and long-haul carrier Shanghai Airlines has retired its last Airbus aircraft, transitioning to an all-Boeing fleet. The airline is focusing on more efficient aircraft, receiving seven out of 10 Boeing 787 Dreamliners ordered. Tibet Airlines to jointly develop plateau variant of C919 aircraft with COMAC

Tibet Airlines from Southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on Sunday signed a cooperation agreement with Commercial Aircraft Corp of China (COMAC) in Shanghai to jointly develop a plateau variant of the C919 aircraft, according to Tibet Airlines. Tibet Airlines and COMAC will co-establish a national-level research center for the high-altitude operation of large aircraft, to push the operation and technological achievements of the ARJ21 and C919.
