Alipay partners with Trip.com to launch selected China tour packages for international tourists

Alipay, a leading digital payment and lifestyle service platform affiliated with Alibaba Group and Ant Group, has partnered with top online travel agencies, including Trip.com to launch selected tour packages and travel guide on the Alipay app for international tourists traveling to China.

Chinese mainland travelers to Hong Kong airport will be exempted from entry permits

Through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB), Chinese mainland residents can take international flights directly from Hong Kong International Airports (HKIA) without entry permit. The new policy, set to take effect on Tuesday, will further facilitate international travel for travelers from the Chinese mainland and drive passenger growth at HKIA.

Fiji records over $18 million from Chinese tourism

The tourism sector of Fiji is experiencing a significant increase in Chinese visitors, with a recorded revenue of $18.1 million this year. Minister Viliame Gavoka highlights that from January to October, the number of Chinese visitors to Fiji reached over 22,000, a notable increase from the 4,136 visitors during the same period last year.

Trip.com Group partners with tours and activities SaaS provider Bookingkit 

Trip.com Group announced a comprehensive partnership with Bookingkit, the premier Software-as-a-Service solution for tours, activities and attractions (TAA) providers in Europe. The online travel group said this collaboration is set to enhance the way European TAA offerings are presented to Asian long-haul travelers. By improving the travel experience through seamless technology integration, it will broaden the travel options available to Trip.com's global users.

Minor Hotels launches first NH hotel in China

Minor Hotels and China’s Funyard Hotels & Resorts are proud to announce the opening of NH Zhengzhou Jinshui, a contemporary 140-key hotel located in the city’s Jinshui District, known for its cultural sites, historical attractions and world-class convention centers. The opening marks the first entry into the Chinese market for NH Hotels, marking a milestone in the brand’s expansion into Asia following its acquisition by Minor Hotels in 2018.

Chinese tourists who refused to stop taking selfies fall into cold Venice canal

A group of tourists in Venice were sent tumbling into the icy waters of the famous canal after flipping their gondola, The Guardian reported, citing local media. The group of Chinese tourists had reportedly ignored calls from their gondolier to sit down and continued to move about while taking photos of the iconic city.
