Marriott opens 3,000th property
Daily news, 29 Nov 2007: BEIJING – Marriott International, Inc. has opened the flagship 588-room JW Marriott Hotel Beijing in Beijing, China, under a management agreement with Hua Mao Surapan Hotel Development Company.
The JW Marriott Hotel Beijing is located in the center of the capital city, just east of Beijing’s central business district. The hotel is located adjacent to the soon to open 305-room The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing. The two hotels anchor Beijing’s newest luxury address, China Central Place. The new complex features more than 230,000 square meters of high-end office space; eight residential towers; 160,000 square meters of luxury brand retail shops; and spacious green areas and a sports center.
The hotel has 549 deluxe and executive guest rooms and 39 suites, three restaurants and a spa. The Quan Spa at the JW Marriott Hotel Beijing offers ten unique treatment rooms, including group, couples and individual treatment suites.
