Alibaba Group rebranded its online travel platform from Alitrip to Fliggy (Feizhu in Chinese, which means "flying piggy").
The rebrand is part of a decision to re-focus on Chinese millennials, according to Sina News, with the company confident the cartoon-style logo can attract the younger generation.
Fliggy joins Ant Finance's ant, Tmall's cat, logistics arm Cainiao's bird and second-hand goods site Xian Yu's fish as the latest addition to Alibaba's menagerie of animal logos.
The first half of 2016 has seen just 3.4% growth in overseas travel, according to Gbtimes.com. This possibly explains Alibaba's desire to freshen up their travel arm.
