Galileo has chosen Accept Software Corporation to strengthen its product planning and product management. (1/30/2007)

Galileo will use Accept 360 to define, prioritise and deliver new products to its network of over 44,000 travel agency customers worldwide. Accept Software Corporation is a provider of collaborative enterprise-class product planning systems.

David Hughes, chief marketing officer, Galileo said, “We have a clear strategy for product development which is based upon industry and customer understanding coupled with extensive requirements gathering. Accept 360 will help to streamline the process of gathering those requirements and factoring all of this information into our product management process. Accept 360 will help us to analyse everything in the context of specific markets, customers, and our overall business objectives. Accept 360 will be key to the development and delivery of Galileo’s current and future product strategies.”

“We needed an application that could manage the relationships between planning elements - as specific as a contract commitment to a customer, and as general as a global strategy. With operations in over 130 countries, the application also had to be accessible to any user at any time. Overall, Accept 360 scored well against all our key criteria of functionality, performance, flexibility, and scalability,” said Nigel Watson, director of Business Systems, for Galileo in the EMEA, Asia, and Pacific region.

According to Chris Purrington, Accept Software, vice president of International, Accept 360 integrates product requirements with internal goals and strategies, customer needs, and market factors, “that truly enables the strategic alignment of product management with the business.”
