Chinese airlines add transpacific capacity but US peers are still unenthusiastic

Starting in April, Chinese airlines will increase capacity on flights to the US. The US Department of Transportation has approved the increase of weekly round-trip flights between the US and China from 35 to 50 by Chinese airlines. The three largest US airlines in March stated they are delaying the resumption of many flights to China, which were cut early during the Covid-19 pandemic, until at least late October.
