O2O player wanzhoumo.com completes an eight-digit series B round led by Momo

Shanghai-based O2O player wanzhoumo.com (“周末去哪儿”) announced on July 18 that it has completed an eight-digit series B round this February. The lead investor was Momo, China’s largest mobile-based social networking platform, and existing investors Blue Lake Capital (“蓝湖资本”) and Matrix Partners (“经纬创投”) also joined.

Founded in 2014, wanzhoumo.com focuses on contents about more upmarket lifestyle consumption related to pan-entertainment and local tours. The company aims to elevate the consumption quality of local tours by integrating and recommending better weekend entertainment services. As well, wanzhoumo has created an O2O circuit formed of “content, business entity and platform” by linking the whole industrial chain and ramping up efforts related to intellectual properties (IP).

The operation and development of intellectual properties is also a top priority of the company. As a partner of Shanghai Disney Resort, the company has provided IP and ticketing services for the resort and its musical The Lion King. The company also serves as the exclusive strategic partner of the Shanghai Station of Slide The City, a world-renowned outdoor water party event.  

Wanzhoumo will use the funds to build itself as an entertainment service platform with the strongest IP and contents.
