China's tourism revenue reached 365.1 billion yuan (55.7 billion U.S. dollars) during the Spring Festival holiday, up 16.3 percent year on year.

The number of tourists during the seven-day holiday topped 302 million across the country, up 15.6 percent.

Overseas travel became more popular, with outbound group travel tourists hitting 8.56 million, up 3 percent from the same period last year, according to statistical data from domestic airlines.
