Lanyon, a provider of content management technology solutions for the hospitality industry, is to acquire eRFP tool provider ETABid. (2/14/2007)

With this acquisition, Lanyon expands its market by adding eRFP software that enables corporate travel buyers to source travel management company services, ground transportation, self-booking tools and car rental. This strategy complements the Lanyon B2B solution for sourcing hotels known as RFP Control Center.

This acquisition is part of Lanyon’s strategy to lead the eRFP revolution by building the optimum set of online solutions that enables business travel buyers and suppliers to reduce the time and cost of managing these processes.

Todd Tyler, president and chief executive officer, Lanyon said, “We see the corporate travel market as a significant growth opportunity and one which we are well positioned for with our hotel sourcing and procurement solutions for corporations.”

ETABid software provides business travel category expertise and independent support to companies to drive successful e-procurement initiatives.

“ETABid has established itself as a versatile and powerful solution for sourcing business travel suppliers. Business travel procurement is a dynamic activity and Lanyon is at the forefront of building nimble solutions that can be quickly and easily deployed,” said founder and creator of ETABid, Karen McGee.
