Other investors participating in the round include Capital Bankinter Riesgo, Media Digital Venture, existing partners and some public funding.
Spain-based Hundredrooms says it wants to focus on apartments managed by private individuals and the funds will go towards expanding in the Spanish market, investment in technology and taking the site international.
Founder and chief executive Jose Luis Martinez says:
“The holiday home rental market is a huge sector in which we intend to become one of the key players and we are convinced that this round of investment places us in a good position.”
The company claims to already be the leading holiday rental metasearch player in Spain.
Hundredrooms was founded in early 2014.
