Shanghai Disney Resort unveiled its attractions at its debut at the China International Travel Mart 2014. They include a Toy Story themed hotel, a large-scale shopping, dining and entertainment district Disneytown, the Walt Disney Grand Theater, and a central lake area.
Shanghai Disney Resort is Walt Disney Parks and Resorts' sixth resort destination worldwide with a magic kingdom theme park as its centerpiece. The theme park features six distinctly themed “lands” showcasing Disney’s classic characters and stories. Visitors will be able to experience Disney’s tallest and largest castle the “Enchanted Storybook Castle”, an original pirates themed “Treasure Cove” land, and a unique Chinese themed "Garden of the Twelfth Friends” land. The hit Broadway musical “The Lion King” will be performed by a world-class cast, in Mandarin for the first time, at the Walt Disney Grand Theater.
Shanghai Disney Resort will take visitors into the fantastic world of Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story with an 800-room Toy Story themed hotel. It has twice as many rooms as the other quintessential Shanghai Disneyland Hotel.
Ticket prices will be finalized within the year while construction of the six themed lands, hotels and the shopping dining entertainment district is also expected to be completed before the end the year. The Castle and the interior of the two theme hotels are already completed and the six theme lands have already taken form.(Translation by David)
