Alice, a concierge app for the hotel industry, recently picked up $1.3 million in seed funding, bringing the total funding for the startup, founded in July 2012, to nearly $2 million.

Investors include nearly 10 angels, including Todd Arky, Jason Finger and Paul Appelbaum, co-founders of Seamless Web; Jason Pomeranc, founder of Thompson Hotel Group, and David Morton, co-founder of CarRentals.com. Laconia Ventures and 645 Ventures also participated.

The app, which the company says is used by some 300 properties, enables a hotel’s guests to order room service before arrival, make dinner reservations through the concierge, and line up spa services during their stay.

Co-Founder and CEO Justin Effon says the funding will be used to develop the platform, provide additional support to clients, and add staff.
