IDeaS to Grow BTG Hotels’ Revenue Management Strategy

BTG Hotels operates more than 100 hotels in China through its three subsidiary companies BTG-JIANGUO Hotels & Resorts, BTG-Jinglun Hotels and Beijing Shindom Inn Co., Ltd.  In view of the growing competition in the local hotel market, BTG Hotels has been working rigorously in an effort to identify and capitalize on every possible opportunity for revenue growth.

The IDeaS Consulting team started a partnership with BTG Hotels in early 2012, beginning with a revenue management audit and revenue management training with BTG-JIANGUO Hotels & Resorts. IDeaS extended its consultancy services to BTG Hotels earlier this year, to help the entire organization better adapt to market changes and drive revenue growth.

In working with BTG Hotels, IDeaS conducted a thorough analysis of BTG Hotels which included three corporate offices and 12 selected hotels to understand current business practices, and then compiled an audit report showing the key finding and improvement roadmap. As the next step, by leveraging industry knowledge and experience, IDeaS helped BTG Hotels establish Revenue Management Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs). IDeaS Consultants also held a revenue management concepts workshop and an SOP implementation workshop to better equip BTG Hotels’ revenue management teams. 

In the coming year, IDeaS’ consultants will provide revenue management mentoring through IDeaS Virtual Revenue Management Support, to help BTG Group improve their revenue strategies and develop revenue management talent in their highly competitive markets.
