Tom Stocky, the man credited with some of Google’s early forays into enhancing its travel search capability, has ended over six years at the company and moved to Facebook.
As director of product management, Stocky worked across a number of verticals at search giant, but most recently was behind the introduction of flight information and schedules in search results.
He leaves Google to become director of product at Facebook. The departure comes as Google begins to integrate its prize acquisition ITA Software at a corporate level, ahead of finally introducing some of the long-awaited travel functionality.
