Friday, 19 December 2008: The Taj Mahal Palace & Tower in Mumbai, India have announced that it is set to reopen following the devastating attacks last month which saw the hotel enter a three-day siege.

The Taj’s hotel management announced earlier this week that the 235 room Taj Mahal Tower would reopen at 7pm on Sunday.

The hotel will still have its signature restaurants including Zodiac Grill, Souk, Masala Kraft, Shamiana and Starboard, and the facilities of The Chambers. Taj Club rooms with associated privileges will also be available.

However, Times Online reported that a Taj spokesman said the heritage wing, which beared the most damage during the siege, will take months to repair.
