Monday, 1 December 2008: Amadeus launched their upgraded self-booking tool for corporations earlier this week with new features that allow users to request assistance at airports when booking their trip.

E-Travel Management version 12.0 will allow travellers with a mobile disability, such as visual impairment, to request a wheelchair or guide in advance when booking each stage of their trip.

“Business travellers with mobility impairments – whether temporary or permanent – should not have to spend any more time than other travellers on booking special assistance” said Frank Palapies, Amadeus’ Head of Global Commercial Operations.

There is also a wider range of hotel and air fares and it will allow Premium Economy class fares to be on Single View display.

A Best Available Rate Hotel Indicator will list 50,000 hotels and guarantee access to equivalent or lower fares available and travellers will be automatically approved for a ‘passenger type’ discount fare.

“We want to ensure a more tailored service for business travellers via our technology and the features we have added to Amadeus e-Travel Management 12.0 respond to this”
