Accor continues dynamic expansion in Vietnam with launch of Ibis brand

Monday, 23 June 2008: Accor, Vietnam’s leading international hospitality player, announced that it has signed an agreement with Viethan Hotel Co Ltd to manage a new Ibis hotel – Ibis Saigon South in Ho Chi Minh City starting early 2010 onwards. Ibis Saigon South will have 170 rooms and will incorporate a restaurant, bar, meeting rooms and full car park facilities.

Monday, 23 June 2008: Accor, Vietnam’s leading international hospitality player, announced that it has signed an agreement with Viethan Hotel Co Ltd to manage a new Ibis hotel – Ibis Saigon South in Ho Chi Minh City starting early 2010 onwards. Ibis Saigon South will have 170 rooms and will incorporate a restaurant, bar, meeting rooms and full car park facilities.

Ibis Saigon South is Accor’s first Ibis hotel in Vietnam and will join Accor’s growing global network of more than 4,000 hotels in nearly 100 countries. Ibis Saigon South is conveniently located in the New Urban Zone of South Ho Chi Minh City (known as Phu My Hung), within walking distance of many restaurants, future shopping malls and the new Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre. There are currently 46 Ibis hotels in the Asia Pacific region. Ibis Saigon South is the eleventh hotel under development by Accor in Vietnam. In March 2008, Accor also announced that it was developing 10 new hotels which will open between end 2008 to 2010: Pullman Lao Cai, Pullman Sapa Resort, Pullman Vung Tau, Mercure Hanoi La Gare, Mercure Hanoi Hado, Novotel Phu Quoc Resort, Novotel Halong Bay, Novotel Nha Trang, Novotel Hoi An Imperial Resort and Novotel Hanoi On The Park.
