Passenger numbers of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport for the first half grew 10.5% YOY to 31.86 million. It handled 59.78 million passengers in 2016, and it's expected to break through 60 million passengers this year.
The passenger throughput of Chengdu Shuangliu Airport in this period reached 24.13 million, year-on-year growth of 8.69%, and it handled 163,500 aircraft movements, year-on-year growth of 5.89%.
Passenger numbers of 2-million-passenger airports increased rapidly in 1H 2017, with year-on-year growth of 23.97%, including Mianyang Airport, Zhuhai Airport increased by 79% and 60% respectively.
According to the CAAC data, the domestic civil aviation market in 1H 2017 grew steadily. The entire industry completed 5.093 million flight hours and handled 2.093 million aircraft movements, year-on-year growth of 11.3%, 10% respectively.
And the industry completed the total transport turnover of 51.34 billion ton-km, and transported 263 million passengers and 3.292 million tons of cargo and mail,year-on-year growth of 12.5%, 13.4% and 5.1% respectively.
