Rail online travel agency TicketClever has picked up additional investment funds by way of selling a fifth of the company to the Stagecoach Group.
The 20% sale of Global Travel Ventures, parent company of TicketClever, comes just five months after the OTA went live in the UK (TLabs here).
Terms of the sale/investment have not been disclosed.
The consumer-facing brand is hoping to make a mark in the competitive world of UK rail ticket selling by working out combinations of fares from the various operators that work the UK rail network – a normally complex task for the passenger given the multiple providers and tickets that are placed into the distribution chain.
