American Express buys travel tech provider KDS

Corporate travel technology creator KDS has been acquired by American Express Global Business Travel.The most recent version of KDS-owned Neo includes a mobile component, offline booking, group ticketing and integration into a company’s reporting platform.

Corporate travel technology creator KDS has found itself a new home, thanks to a deal to be acquired by American Express Global Business Travel.

The Paris, France-based company, best known for its Neo platform, becomes part of the Amex empire following the buy-out announced this week.

Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

Amex says the purchase is part of a wider programme to broaden its online and digital services, all of which will work alongside its existing technology platform for corporates.

KDS’s Neo service was first talked about in 2012 and released the following year, mainly as a door-to-door travel search and booking platform for travel managers.
