Misterbnb, founded in April 2013 in Paris, is a short-term rental platform aimed at gay travelers. It says it has raised $2 million in a seed round.

The round was led by Pole Capital, a French venture firm. It’s previously invested in VeryLastRoom, an on-demand mobile hotel booking service.

Other participating investors include AngelVest, China Growth Capital, 500 Startups, MicroVentures, AngelVest, and angel investors, such as Jacky Leclerc. Last year, 500 Startups invested $0.075 million in the form of convertible security in exchange for a 7% stake in Misterbnb.

The company will use the seed money to expand to “New York, San Francisco, London, Lisbon, Berlin, and Amsterdam”. It already has ground operations in Paris and Barcelona. It currently has 16,000 hosts in more than 130 countries.
