Commeasure takes $1 million to ramp up hotel distribution and marketing services

India and Singapore-based Commeasure has secured its first external round of funding – $1 million from Jungle Ventures.

The company claims to have ammassed around 500 small and medium sized hotel customers in India and South East Asia since its launch.

Until now, Commeasure has been self-funded. Jungle’s investment was supported by an unnamed “public market fund”.

Amit Saberwal (CEO) and Kunwar Asheesh Saxena (CTO) founded Commeasure in early 2014.

The pair have some pedigree in the online travel sector, with Saberwal previously chief business officer and Saxena the director of technology  for hotels at MakeMyTrip.

Saberwal says the debut investment round will be used to expand further into SE Asia and build on its existing technology framework.

Core services include a booking engine, training and online distribution.

Jungle has previously invested in TravelMob and Voyagin.
