OAG says it is ‘strengthening its position’ in the expanding real-time flight status market through the acquisition which also opens up FlightView’s 600-strong B2B customer base.
An OAG statement says the customer bases are complementary and also highlights FlightView’s strength in the US which will help boost OAG’s standing.
The statement goes on to talk about FlightView’s mobile apps which, it says, have been download more than three million times. The company is also said to respond to more than 300 million flight status requests every month.
