Airbnb and Qyer announced a second phase of their partnership following their initial tie-up in May this year.

TravelDaily – Airbnb and Qyer announced a second phase of their partnership following their initial tie-up in May this year that enabled users to access Airbnb’s accommodation supply in 20 popular destination cities via Qyer’s website and make reservations on the Airbnb site.

The stepping up of their collaboration enabled users to not only directly access Airbnb’s listings in the 20 cities that include New York, San Francisco, London and Paris, but now they can also search for Airbnb’s global listings and view its community’s travel tips and related journals through Qyer’s platform. This new level of partnership coincides with Qyer’s 10th anniversary celebrations.

The two companies formed the strategic partnership in May and share in online and offline  activities, consolidated marketing, and display of activities in specialty travel destinations worldwide, as well as launching their own travel tips function.

Airbnb GCO Varsha Rao said: “Our partnership with Qyer is without doubt an important part of our work to localize and thus provide better services to our Chinese market. Now our partnership is entering the next phase.”

Qyer CEO Jinghui Cai said: “Qyer and Airbnb have similar corporate culture and values so we welcome the furthering of our partnership and hope future cooperation will provide more diversified outbound travel services for our over 50 million global users.” (Translation by David)
