HEDNA Kicks Off China Growth at November 13 Event

HEDNA, trade organization focused on collaboration, education, and networking within the hospitality distribution industry, represents members from around the globe including hotel groups, online travel agencies, metasearch engines, technology companies, and others.

Thursday, October 30, Beijing—HEDNA, trade organization focused on collaboration, education, and networking within the hospitality distribution industry, represents members from around the globe including hotel groups, online travel agencies, metasearch engines, technology companies, and others.

Over the past year, the organization has begun to focus on increasing its member base from the Asian market, and specifically China.  While several Chinese companies have been members of HEDNA for years, some of the biggest players in China have just joined or have committed to join.

In this context, a number of China-based people whose companies belong to HEDNA have assembled themselves into a working group to foster additional growth in China.  The group has organized its first event to be held in Shanghai on November 13 at the Fairmont Peace Hotel on The Bund.  This is the evening before CITM begins, so the group hopes that people who will be in Shanghai for CITM will also be able to attend the HEDNA event.

The event will begin at 5pm and end at about 7pm, and it will include time for networking over drinks and light food as well as an informative panel discussion on the topic of “How Wholesaler Pricing is Affecting (Disrupting?) the Distribution Chain.”  The panel’s moderator will be Ted Zhang of DerbySoft, and the panelists include Tracy Chen from Intercontinental Hotel Group, David Tsai from Taobao, and John Zhong from Ctrip.

HEDNA is graciously covering the cost of the event, so attendance is free of charge for industry personnel, but due to limited space, registration is required.  To register, simply email HEDNAChina@HEDNA.org.
