Alongside other hotel brands, Starwood has been testing its keyless entry system for most of the year at select properties in an effort to build best practices and test the overall flow, utility and security of the system.
Starting November 5th, the ability to have a keyless experience at Starwood hotels will be extended to portfolio brands with a tech-savvy edge: the W, Aloft and Element.
The first ten hotels with the technology are Aloft Harlem, Aloft Cupertino, Aloft Beijing, Aloft Cancun, W New York – Downtown, W Hollywood, W Singapore, W Hong Kong, W Doha and Element Times Square. The rollout will be expanded throughout 2015, with a year-end count of 30,000 doors in 150 hotels worldwide.
